International Student Services Coordinator August 2018 - Present
Advise international, sponsored, visiting, and exchange students via email, phone, and in-person about
issues pertaining to academics, housing, cultural adjustment, health insurance, financial support,
employment, taxes, and personal issues; advise the International Student Organization
Assist with the coordination and facilitation of a weeklong Fulbright Gateway Orientation for 75
students in accordance with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
Oversee the Global Living Community and Global Ambassador program for 55 international and 33
domestic students; recruit residents, create room assignments, and address adjustment concerns
Facilitate International Orientation for 174 international, sponsored, visiting, and exchange students
Coordinate a weeklong campus visit for 28 prospective transfer students from the International
University of Grand-Bassam to increase our global partnership and recruitment efforts in Côte d’Ivoire
Work with Career Services to host an International Student Career Day about J-1 and F-1 Off-Campus
Employment, On-Campus Employment, Optional Practical Training, and Job Interviewing
Utilize social media to promote initiatives to the campus and local community; market social media to
increase outreach on Instagram platform by 85.37% in eight months
Plan, oversee, and assess programs and off-campus excursions across four pillars: educational, social,
cultural, and community engagement
