Jumper cables/Air pump – Anything can happen when you are driving. Your battery might go

dead, or your tire might go flat. An important tool that people can have in their car are jumper

cables or an air pump. Some companies sell a rechargeable jump box and air compressor. In case

you are by yourself and do not have access to another car or a gas station, having a rechargeable

jump box or air compressor in your car will enable you to stay safe while traveling.

Tire Repair Kits – As with jumper cables and air pumps, a tire repair kit is necessary for drivers.

With tire repair kits, a driver will have the tools they need to check the tire’s pressure, extract a

nail, or repair their tire. Also, for the tire repair kit is the knowledge of how to change a spare

tire. Many cars come equipped with a spare tire, a jack, and a lug wrench. Being able to repair or

change a tire can help drivers stay safe.

First-Aid Kit – You never know what you may need while traveling. First-Aid Kits are available at

several stores and they may include: sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, band-aids, scissors,

gloves, cellphone chargers, ponchos, blankets, matches, food, or drinks. It is important to keep

these handy because the first part of traveling safe is to be prepared.

Insurance info/car manual – Every driver should have a copy of their insurance and

their car manual inside of their car. Accidents happen, so people should be prepared

just in case. Having insurance information will let people know who to contact should

an accident occur. It may also contain AAA information, so people can receive car

a feature of the car.

a variety of reasons. If you find yourself stranded, there are safety cones, reflective vests,

flashlights, batteries, hand warmers, glow sticks, a multi-tool, a seatbelt cutter, a window

breaker, and several other goods people can use to stay safe while driving.
