Paper paths for the push tractor
(Papierpfade für den Schubtraktor)
Most Wanted

This the recommended way to push continuous paper through the Impact Printer.

There also other style to feed the paper through this machine, we will only handle in this Training the
recommended way of feeding paper through the Printer

Before we start:

Every setting in the printer needs to be set! Very important when the customer is using continuous paper
(Endlospapier).

Following Steps are Necessary.

 Configure -Paperlength / Papierlänge (Zoll) –

LPP…………………...Page 6
 Set
-Top of Form / Schreibzeile (TOF) ……………………Page 9
 Set
-End of Form / Abrisskante ……………………Page 10

Formulas – calculations (Formeln / Berechnungen)

The Impact Printers are only friendly with inch (Zoll), to configure the paper length we need to verify this
in centimetre (cm / Zentimeter) and converting this into inches (Zoll).
The Important point when using contininuous paper (Endlospapier) is these medias have different lengths
(länge) and width (breite).

General Questions:
How many Lines per Page can be printed on continuous paper?
How many Lines per inch?

Calculations / Berechnungen
Inch = Zoll
Lines per inch = in General this set to 6 (wieviele Linien per Zoll kann der Drucker drucken)
Lines per inch can also be changed by the user (default is 6)

cm (Paper lenth) / 2,54 = inches per page (Zoll)

inches per page (Zoll) * lines per inch = lines per page

Example:
Length = 30,3 cm
Width = 35,4 cm
Inch = 2,54 cm
LPI = 6 lines per Inch

30,3cm / 2,54cm = 11,9291338583 inch (Zoll)

11,93 inch * 6 lines per inch = 71,58 Lines Per Page

So we need to Setup this LPP value in Printer Settings!

Setup LPP
Example / Your Task Setup LPP to 71,58 (72)

Setting Up LPP Value in Printer Settings / Example Value is 71,58 Lines Per Pages
