I. LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of a sixty-minute period, students will be able to:


A. analyzes myths, fallacies and beliefs related to adolescent health concerns.
B. applies self-management skills in dealing with health concerns during puberty, such as poor eating habits, lack
of sleep, lack of physical activity, dental problems, body odor, and postural problems.
C. recognizes that changes in different health dimensions are normal during puberty/ adolescence.

Review the previous lesson about the dimensions of holistic health (physical, mental or intellectual,
emotional, social, moral- spiritual and environmental).
D. Lesson Proper (Adolescence)

1. The teacher will present a video clips regarding different significance change of an adolescent:
1. From the videos shown, what are the changes of its health dimensions as an
adolescent person?
2. How are these changes differ from male and female?

2. The teacher will discuss briefly some myths, fallacies and beliefs related to adolescent health
concerns.

E. Group Activity
(This time, the students will be group according to their specialization and I will give each group one
health concern with definition that can be seen on the book page 233 – 238 then they will perform
based on their inclination of skills such as the music group – jingle presentation, creative writing
group – poem presentation and etc.)

 As an adolescent, it is the responsibility to understand those concerns that need to


addressed but with correct and adequate health information, positive attitude and
healthy lifestyle practices.
