Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Kenny was a smart, kind and fun-loving boy. He had many friends. However,
he had a bad habit. Whenever his parents asked him to do a chore, he would say,
“Wait a minute!” He liked to delay his work.

His parents were very worried about Kenny’s bad habit. They advised him not
to put off doing his chores but Kenny did not care at all. He continued with his bad
habit.

On his twelfth birthday, Kenny’s father bought him a pair of goldfish with a
fish bowl to rear them. Kenny was very delighted. He put the fish bowl on the study
table in the bedroom.

One afternoon, Kenny left his bedroom door opened, while he was watching
television in the living room. He was watching his favourite cartoon programme.

“Kenny, close your bedroom door,” his mother called from the kitchen.

“There’s a stray cat around. It might go into your room and eat your goldfish.” As
usual, Kenny’s answer was, “Wait a minute!”

Suddenly, Kenny heard a loud crashing sound coming from his bedroom. He
rushed into his room, but it was too late. The fish bowl was broken, and the goldfish
had disappeared.

From the day onwards, Kenny never say, “Wait a minute,” anymore. He had
learned his lesson and promised to turn over a new leaf.
