Objective: ​To convince about the bribe practice as followed by others which is unethical
Question 1: What are the main arguments you are trying to counter? That is, what are the
main reasons and rationalizations you need to address?
The major argument to counter here is “paying bribes to purchasing manager” of company for
gaining the opportunity to serve the orders. ​Since Deepak being responsible for the company
reputation on a long run as well as short run (​GVV-Brief Introduction). This issue need to be
addressed in a proper manner to save the business reputation in the appropriate sector and in

order to maintain the business ethical policies and should be avoided on highest priority [1]​
Question 2: What is at stake for the key parties (including those who disagree with you)?
The loss is at both the end. If Deepak reports allegations on purchasing manager then he might
lose the job and and ethical reputation of him professionally. On the other hand, deepak might
lose the opportunity of meeting up the financial crisis as he would get failure in tender passing, if
he disagree to give the bribe to maintain business ethics. If company partners convince Deepak
to give bribe they could get the order and an opportunity to stay back in the competitive markets
but if press unmasked them, company reputation/image might get ruined [2]​ ​ .
Question 3: What levers/ arguments could you use to influence those with whom you
disagree?
The major arguments is to convince the partners to come up with some other strategy so as to
attain the business opportunity without any reputation risks.
Question 4: What is your most powerful and persuasive response to the reasons and
rationalizations you need to address? To whom should the argument be made? When and
in what context?
There are some decisions against the ethical behavior, which partners want to undertake for the
business opportunities. Due to ethical and un-objective practices in business is trust and
confidence in the business. For the long term relationships and increase the profitable business
