Activity 1. With the students seated at their desks, the
teacher will point out a couple of objects
around the room as well as everyday items.
The teacher will then ask the students “what do
all of these particular items have in common”?
Once it has been clarified that all the items are
triangles, the teacher will ask “what are some
differences between the sizes, their positions
and other characteristics”?
2. After a few minutes of examining the shapes,
the teacher will begin to introduce new
vocabulary to the class. Using a model triangle,
the instructor will test how much her students
already know. He or she will do so by point out
parts of a triangle (vertex, side, and angle).
3. Next the teacher will reflect on some of the
items that were first identified. He/She will ask
the students if these items are all the same
shape. Based on the student answers the
instructor will ask for an explanation of why or
why not.

This application is free, and you do not need an
account. It is a game-based learning platform,
used as educational technology in schools and
other educational institutions. Its learning
games (Kahoots) are multiple-choice quizzes
that users generate. The application makes it
easy to create, share and play fun learning
games or trivia quizzes in minutes.
