The Spring Term has been a learning adventure!

For Storytelling Week, we had a


competition to see which class
Year 5 have produced some could tell the best story. Class 8
beautiful ink drawings. were the winners! Their prize? A
delicious afternoon tea party.
WORLD BOOK WEEK! Class 12 and Salma were rewarded
with a mind blowing afternoon as part
of their prize for winning the World
Book Day 2019 Classroom Display
Competition. They spent the
afternoon at Genesis cinema,
Whitechapel, where they met Michael
Rosen. Let’s just say Class 12 spent
the afternoon ‘in stitches’!

The Spring Term has been a learning adventure!

Trip to the National Gallery

On Monday 11th February, Katie’s Year 4 literacy group went to the National
Gallery. They had a fabulous day hearing stories about the paintings, learning
about the different people in the paintings and even meeting one of them!
They discussed descriptions and emotions depicted in some of the paintings
and did their own freeze frame interpretations of the emotions.

After the gallery, they walked in the sunshine through Trafalgar Square,
where they met a giant panda! They then climbed onto the Millennium
Bridge to take in the view of London’s skyline and learnt some interesting
facts about the River Thames.

with Anna to create
an amazing
production, taking
us all back 1000
years ago when the
Vikings ruled
‘England’s green
and pleasant land’. Mothers’ Day
