On Monday 11th February, Katie’s Year 4 literacy group went to the National
Gallery. They had a fabulous day hearing stories about the paintings, learning
about the different people in the paintings and even meeting one of them!
They discussed descriptions and emotions depicted in some of the paintings
and did their own freeze frame interpretations of the emotions.
After the gallery, they walked in the sunshine through Trafalgar Square,
where they met a giant panda! They then climbed onto the Millennium
Bridge to take in the view of London’s skyline and learnt some interesting
facts about the River Thames.
