Symptom

Web Intelligence document cannot be viewed.

ODBC WIS 00514 error is seen while creating Web Intelligence Reports.

Environment

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) 4.0 Support Pack 2

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server

Reproducing the Issue

1. Create a Web Intelligence Report report using sample efashion universe.

2. Run the report using ODBC connections.
3. Error message is displayed.

Cause

eFashion universe is based on MS access Database which is not supported database for any Unix/Linux
platforms.
ODBC drivers not supported with Linux/Unix environments.

Resolution

Use a database as mentioned in the supported platform guide, for the appropriate client.
