Flex Model
“
In the Flex Model, students are given a list of
activities to engage in that provides for a
self-paced approach. Here, the teacher serves as a
facilitator and students actively direct their
learning. A classroom that follows the flex model
is driven by collaboration, questioning, and
problem solving and contains spaces that are
designated to support this spirit in students. The
flex model provides the teacher with
opportunities to tailor instruction as needed to
meet student needs.
