a) Name and draw different types of lines used in engineering drawing.
b) What are systems of dimensions?
c) What are different types of dimensions?
d) Define orthographic projections.
e) A point ‘P’ lies 20mm above the HP and 35mm in front of the VP draw front, and
top views of the point.

Q 2 Write the following sentence in vertical and inclined capital single stroke letters of
height 12 mm in ratio 7:4.
“One man with courage makes a majority”
Q3. Draw a diagonal scale with RF=1/4000 to show hundred metres, ten metres and
single metre and long enough to measure upto 500m. Show a distance of 357m on the
scale.
Q4. What do you mean by representative fraction? Construct a diagonal scale of RF 1:
2000 to read metres and long enough to measure upto 500 m. Also indicate on the
scale a distance of 245 metres.
