Lesson Plan
Thursday 9/6: Time Management
Learning Objectives:
• Students will be able to analyze their potential challenges in time management and list at
least two strategies to overcome those challenges
• Students will be able to explain how to use google calendar and Canvas to plan out
assignments and responsibilities

Schedule:
10:05-10:15 Check in and current events
• Check in question: What do you think is going to be most difficult for you about time
management? Or what are you most worried about when it comes to time management?
(anonymous via poll everywhere)
10:15-10:30: Finish Miami in context PowerPoint
10:30-10:40: Go over time management strategies
• Using Google Calendar and Canvas for Success
• Handout- using syllabus for success
• Talk about how to scaffold and break down assignments and schedule them out. Spend 2
hours outside class per hour in class.
10:40-10:45: Pair & Share: Which of these strategies do you think you will use/works for you?
10:45-10:55: Peer Mentors come in and talk about time management strategies they recommend
and answer questions
