ABESEC Launches Mark-1, a rapid testing machine for

fenestration industry
BITS, the consultation division at ABESEC launched it’s first machine, named MARK 1, designed and
developed in-house for LGF SYSMAC (india) Pvt. Ltd., a leader in Fenestration industry.

The chief guest, Mr. D. S. Sachdev, former Director General CPWD and other dignitaries including
Mr. Shashi Kant, former Dy. Adviser, Planning Commission expressed their surprise at the
magnificence of the machine and it’s capabilities in terms of rapid testing.

ABESEC management expressed their satisfaction with the outcome and said that MARK-1 truly
demonstrates application of engineering knowledge and that they wish faculty and students pursue
this path in increasing numbers.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ajay Singh, COO of BITS said that this machine, being an outcome of
industry academia collaboration, establishes the benchmark for the hidden potential of industry
academia alliances. Mr. Ashim Chug, director of LGF SYSMAC (india) Pvt. Ltd., was highly
appreciative of the efforts put-in by the team at ABESEC while confirming that, MARK-1, is one of a
kind in the world, capable of testing both hinges and rotary handles for Doors and windows of
different sizes. The company has already applied patent for MARK-1.
