2.) Developed and shared unit and text-related PARCC -like assessment
items

General Notes:
★ Have students use the “applying Close Reading strategies” to the
PARCC style task.
★ Watch Luke Cage
★ Watch students popping locks on the cabinets in the collaborative
space

Meeting Notes:
★ Culminating Tasks for English II and III (really all) by the end of the
quarter:
○ This quarter we need to do STRUCTURAL analysis which is
challenging for students.
○ Resources have been posted in the Classroom. You can add
other resources as needed.
○ Stay focused on your end of unit task
○ Post summaries for Shakespeare’s speeches and have
students identify the summary as they read the text (Matching).
○ Copy key scenes/texts in larger font and allow for annotation
and comfort with the text.
Action Steps:
★ Identify the standards in your unit over the next week
○ Create 10 ten question stems based on your text/content
by 2/20/2019
■ Stems are in handout given by Ms. Richie
■ Can also find stems in the resources generated by
grade level in the Common PD.
★ Look at and consider your Middle/End of Course Data
○ Consider creating questions for areas of Ss weakness
