New Couplings for Cat® and Competitive

Machines
This IRM introduces several new couplings to improve mixed fleet
coverage.

Overview
Coupling additions
83 new couplings are being added to the product line to help service Competitive machines,
enabling dealers to bid on mixed fleet service contracts with a higher level of success. The DIN,
JIS, and BSPP end connections covered in this IRM are used by many of the competitive
machine manufacturers.

Target Customers

Dealers looking to service mixed fleets have asked for more Metric DIN thread
connection sizes, along with additional sizes for BSPP and JIS threaded connections.

Also made available several Hybrid Fluid Line coupling/tube assemblies used on
Backhoe Loaders.

Cat Hose Tooling

Current software requires upgrade to reflect accurate crimp data for MN series
couplings.

CRIMPUTER III (C3) controlled machines software packages are now named according to the
hose machine they work with and will be followed by the date the package was created. Check
below to find the name of your machine and its associated part number. Software files dated
16JAN14 or later will be used to support this release.

Cat Production Crimper (CPC325) covers the following Cat part numbers:

number equal to or higher than ones stated in this document will contain all the latest crimp
information. You should always use the latest or highest revision level available on the DST
website when updating your Crimputer.
