This experiment was conducted just to investigate the value of voltage (V) and current (A) in the

series and parallel circuit and also to establish the differences between the series and parallel
circuit. From this experiment, we all can improve our knowledge about the series and parallel
circuit. The method that we use when doing this experiment is, we measure the value of voltage
and current by using the apparatus that is voltmeter and ammeter. Besides that, the voltmeter
must be connected in parallel to the bulb in the circuit, meanwhile, the ammeter must be
connected in series to the bulb in the circuit. For the first experiment, we measure the voltage
and current of the one bulb in series circuit and see the brightness. And then, we add the other
two bulbs and do the same as the one bulb. For the second experiment that is in parallel circuit,
we also do the same as in series circuit. We keep the value of potential difference of DC power
supply that is 2V as a constant variable. The result that we got from the experiment with series
circuit are VT  5.2  0.1V , IT  0.19  0.01A , and the brightness one bulb > two bulbs > three
bulbs. But, the bulbs are turn on with same brightness. For the second experiment with parallel
circuit, the value of VT  2.07  0.1V and IT  1.29  0.01A . The brightness of one bulb > two
bulbs > three bulbs where it is differ from the theoretical which the bulbs connected in parallel
circuit must be light up with the same brightness as they intended. The conclusion is, the parallel
circuit is better than series circuit because it will produce the same brightness of the bulbs
although the number of the bulb is increase.
