DATA FLOW DIAGRAM - ONLINE JOB PORTAL


1.INTRODUCTION:
Online Job Portal Data flow diagram is often used as a preliminary step to create an
overview of the Job Portal without going into great detail, which can later be elaborated.it
normally consists of overall application dataflow and processes of the Job Portal process. It
contains all of the userflow and their entities such all the flow of Job, Applicant, Company,
Job Applicant, Qualification, Salary, Resume.

2. Zero Level Data Flow Diagram(0 Level DFD) Of Online Job Portal :

This is the Zero Level DFD of Online Job Portal, where we have eloborated the high
level process of Job Portal. It’s a basic overview of the whole Online Job Portal or process
being analyzed or modeled. It’s designed to be an at-a-glance view of Qualification,Salary
and Resume showing the system as a single high-level process, with its relationship to
external entities of Job,Applicant and Company. It should be easily understood by a wide
audience, including Job,Company and Qualification In zero leve DFD of Online Job Portal,
we have described the high level flow of the Job Portal system.

3.First Level Data Flow Diagram(1st Level DFD) Of Online Job Portal :
First Level DFD (1st Level) of Online Job Portal shows how the system is divided
into sub-systems (processes), each of which deals with one or more of the data flows to or

from an external agent, and which together provide all of the functionality of the Online Job
Portal system as a whole.Resume, Salary, Qualification, Job Applicant, Company that must
be present in order for the Job Portal system to do its job, and shows the flow of data between
the various parts of Job, Company, Salary, Resume, Qualification of the system. DFD Level
1 provides a more detailed breakout of pieces of the 1st level DFD.

4.Second Level Data Flow Diagram(2nd Level DFD) Of Online Job Portal :
DFD Level 2 then goes one step deeper into parts of Level 1 of Job Portal. It may
require more functionalities of Job Portal to reach the necessary level of detail about the Job
Portal functioning. First Level DFD (1st Level) of Online Job Portal shows how the system is
divided into sub-systems (processes). The 2nd Level DFD contains more details of Resume,
Salary, Qualification, Job Applicant, Company, Applicant, Job.
5. Things not Shown on Data Flow Diagrams
One of the strengths of data flow diagrams is that they enable the reader to focus on
essentials without being overwhelmed by detail. In order to accomplish this, the diagrams
show certain information and intentionally omit other information.

For example, the diagrams do not show when a data flow occurs, in terms of conditionality or
timing or causality. If the data flow occurs, ever, it is shown on the diagram

6. Conclusion
Data flow analysis has proved itself to be an essential technique in the grand scheme
of developing custom software solutions. It greatly improves conceptual clarity, for both the
developer and the client. It helps show the true scope of the project, which is almost always
bigger than originally anticipated.
