‘billies adventures; mystery of the tail’

Source: The Metro

This was a news story on the metro that I found quite interesting to read, this
news story was about a dolphin name Billie she is a bottlenose; a bottlenose are
the most familiar dolphins due to the wide exposure they receive in captivity in
marine parks. She was rescued from severely creek in January 1998 and learned
a trick known as the tail walk by watching other dolphins she was housed with
in Adelaide. The trick that she learned from the other dolphins while in captivity
involves standing upright on the tail and running backwards along the waterline.
A trick like this had never been taught in the wild until Billie taught other
dolphins in 2011 and by the other dolphins watching the trick very closely they
soon began copying her and they started performing the trick on their own for
other dolphins to watch so that they could also learn the trick.

the reason I believe that dolphins are interesting is because basically there is
more to dolphins than you think for example they are smarter than people give
them credit for, they have characteristics such as responsible personality which
means that they were trained to not misbehave while performing tricks for the
people that paid to watch them. In overall they are amazing and why wouldn’t
you love them!
