1a. Standard 1: Learners
❖ Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical
approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their
effectiveness.
➢ Examples:
■ Kahoot, Quizlet, etc.- Through these websites, teachers are able to assess their
students on the content area they recently learned in a fun and interactive way.
■ Surveys- Through surveys, teachers are able to gain feedback from their students
on the effectiveness of their teaching. From there they are able to assess
themselves and critique their teaching style based on student feedback.
1b. Standard 1: Learners
❖ Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in
local and global learning networks.
➢ Examples:
■ Teachers often attend workshops in order to foster relationships with other
educators and have the opportunity to share how they have integrated technology
into their classrooms.
■ Teachers can also use the internet to join groups that will help broaden their
knowledge. This allows for teachers to deepen their understanding of technology
so they can better assist students in the classroom.
1c. Standard 1: Learners
❖ Stay current with research that supports improved student learning
outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences.
➢ Examples:
■ Educators continually look for ways to advance student learning as
technology improves and new studies on educational findings are released. In
this way, teachers are assured they are truly preparing their students for
the real world.
