Technology: Artifact #2 Reflection

For my technology artifact number two, I chose one of the PowerPoint presentations

that I have completed for my education courses. I chose this form of technology, because it is

so convenient and easy to use for almost any assignment, presentation, lesson. Although I have

used PowerPoint many times, I feel as though I learn something new with every presentation I

put together. Whether this is finding new tricks to insert a picture, a bullet point, or even

finding different backgrounds. When making a PowerPoint, it is so important to have all of your

information as well as making the presentation look nice and presentable as well.

Within this presentation I explained to my peers in my Education Psychology class about

what Social Constructivism is and how this learning theory can play a role in students’ lives.

Within this, I also went over Blooms Taxonomy and the Zone of Proximal Development. I felt as

though I did a great job with PowerPoint when creating this presentation. I included all of the

information in order to fully explain the topic at hand, and even provided examples. I also

ensured that the presentation looked nice and flowed very smoothly from one slide to the next.

I am so grateful to have technology like PowerPoint, along with Prezi, portfolio

designers (Weebly) to create presentations when need be. I have used PowerPoint

presentations throughout my entire education career, and plan to continue to use PowerPoint

presentations throughout my entire teaching career.
