RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
JING is a software application that allows for screencasting where you can record your computer screen and record audio to add
to it. Once a screencast has been created JING allows you to watch the screencast to see if you are satisfied with it after this you
can save the file directly to your computer.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screencasting – you or your
students, and what purpose it will serve.
In my classroom JING will be mostly used by my students, I envisioned this tool being used as a way for my students to present a
presentation they have created. By using JING to go through their presentation my students can practice their presentation skills
in a more comfortable environment before having to present in front of an audience. Assigning my students to use JING at home
will also save class time where we can focus on improving instead of just assessing.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Given the information above, how would the technology integration you described, using the selected resource? (On the
“Value-Added Rating Scale” above)
 Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.
I would give JING a rating of 2 as there are standards that align with this tool, in how I view this tool being used the students will
also be the main party using it to create a product, but there are other tools available that allow my students to complete the
same tasks as they would with JING.
