Tasks and Responsibilities Completed:

-Sunday and Tuesday were regular managing duties.
-This weekend was our RTJ event (designer of our course, Robert Trent Jones). It
is a member-guest tournament and my personal favorite event.
-Thursday is a practice round followed by putting, and chipping games by the pro
shop. Gifts for all participants, complimentary appetizers and a steak dinner.
-Friday begins with a breakfast buffet, grill stations around the course for lunch,
and regular dinner service at night.
-During the tournament I operate one of the bars on the course filled with soft
drinks, beer, liquor, candy, and other snacks
-Saturday is breakfast, a round of golf, lunch, then the top two teams from each
flight of golfers compete in a playoff.

Meetings and Activities Observed:

-During breakfast, I restock all on course coolers and bars to make sure all food
and beverage responsibilities outside of the building are taken care of.

Student Comments:
- This event should be our most important in my eyes because half of the golfers
are not members. It is a great opportunity to impress a possible future member and
help our numbers.

Supervisor Comments:

1
-Our RTJ tournament is our biggest tournament other than for Whirlpool’s charity
golf outing. Like Marty said, It is important to impress possible members, but
retaining current members is just as vital.
