Activity The teacher will begin by doing a short lesson on
ancient Greece and Rome. They will then ask the
students based on the discussion what they think
they contributed to where we are with architecture,
government, and sports. The teacher will then
explain to students that they will be creating their
own book using the app called Book Creator EDU
(which will already be downloaded onto their iPads).
There will be a small handout with the instructions
of the project in which they will use their Grade 3
Social Studies: Exploring People, Places, and Cultures
textbook to help them create individualized books
on the contributions of the ancient Greeks and
Pedagogy
Romans. The teacher will walk around the classroom
as the students work and ask questions. The project
is expected to take several days of Social Studies

Egypt have influenced the present
world in terms of architecture,
inventions, the calendar, and written
language.
The teacher will start by doing a PowerPoint in
which the students will learn and ask questions
about the ways that Ancient China and Egypt
influenced the world that they live in. They will also
have this PowerPoint shared with them after it is
done by Google Classroom. The students will then
be asked to break into groups of three-four
students. Once they are into their groups, they will
be instructed that they will be working together in
Google Classroom using the book and the
PowerPoint to answer questions based on the
material, the teacher will also not that they will be
able to see who posts what so that participation will
be graded that way in collaboration with what they
see. The students must work as group to answer all
of the questions before submitting it. Once the

then have the books shared to the students’ parents
so that they can see the work their student put in.
