Informed Consent for Research Participants

Purpose of the research study:

The aims of this study are: (1) To understand the life experiences of the
businessman/entrepreneurs regarding on building their businesses. The researcher wants to know
their stories behind those success in business that they can be an inspiration to those who wants
to build a business in the future. (2) To know the struggles, they’ve experience and how on they
overcome it, so it can become an inspiration to future and present entrepreneurs. The researchers
are concerning to some of them will have business in the future and so now, they can have an
idea about managing and handling business and what are the techniques they can use and apply
to their future business. In addition, research should look at how the differences in owner
management styles can affect success rates.
What are the qualifications should have to be a respondent:
A businessman/woman who is currently managing a big-scale business; given that the business has
developed in terms of expansion, performance and revenue; and running a business for 5 and
above years of experience.
Compensation:
You will be compensated for the participation in this study.
Confidentiality:
Your identity and participation in this study is confidential. Any information that will be
gathered will not be disclosed during the conducting of the study.
Voluntary Participation:
Your participation in this study is voluntary. It is up to you to decide whether to take part in this
study or not. There is no penalty for not participating in this study.
Right to Withdraw from the Study:
After you sign the consent form, you are still free to withdraw at any time and without giving a
reason. Withdrawing from this study will not affect the relationship you have, if any, with the
researcher. If you withdraw from the study before data collection is completed, your data will be
returned to you or destroyed.
