ABOUT WOODLAND
Woodland’s parent company, Aero
Group, has been well known name in the
outdoor shoe industry since the early
50s. Founded in Quebec, Canada. It is
entered in the market in 1992. Before
that, Aero Group was majorly exporting
its leather shoes to USSR. Hence the first
hand-stitched leather shoe was
launched, which took the entire shoe
market by storm. That shoe made the
brand ‘WOODLAND’.

PLANT LAYOUT
If all the processing equipment and
machines are arranged according to the
sequence of operations of the product,
the layout is called product type of
layout. In this type of layout, only one
type of product is produce in an
operating area. This product must be
standardized and produce in large
quantities in order to justify the product
layout. The raw material is supplied at
one end of the line and goes from one
operation to the next quit rapidly with a
minimum work in process, storage and
material handling.

FACILITIES
 CANTEEN:- We provide canteen 24/7
and we provide midday meal for
employees for free.
 MEDICAL SUPPORT:- Health is very
important factor i,e., we provide free
medical assistance and checkups to
our employees at the interval of
every 3 months.
 Employees Insurance:- Employees
state Insurance is a self –financing
social security and health insurance
scheme for Indian workers. This fund
is managed by the employee’s state
corporation.
TIME STUDY
 The standard time to
complete a customer order
cycle is 40 days.
 The woodland store are all
made in house.
 The leather takes upto 7 to
10 days to arrive at the
manufacturing unit.
QUALITY
PARAMETERS FOR
THE PRODUCTS
They are adopted the perfect
production process and do
practice it efficiently, from
the cutting to the packing of
the product. Every
department has a different
roaming QC and a final QC
department.
WORK MEASURENT
 The plant can produce upto 1500
shoes per day.
 In whole year plant produce around
5,47,500
 The inventory of rawmaterial is
maintained at the minimum as they
produce according to the order
received.
 The company has turnover of 1,100
crores per day.
 They produce shoe for Myntra,
amazon, flipkart for the price range
between Rs. 600-Rs.2999.
 The has total manpower of 500
employees.
 The company has almost
40% of female employees.
 75% of employees are
permanent.
 Company has shift from 9am
to 6pm.
 The daily wages are fixed to
Rs.600 per day and overtime
to Rs. 900

from one location to another
place.
