Power Calculation – AKASAKA (6UEC45LSE/7470 KW @130 RPM

#Engine Output (KW) = K x Ne x [Net Cal. Value of fuel oil in ship
(KJ/Kg) x Sp.Gravity of ship oil at engine inlet temp. / Net Cal.
value of fuel in shop trial (e.g. 42550KJ/Kg) x Sp.Gravity of fuel oil
in shop trial (e.g. 0.8641)]
K = Torque factor obtained from torque factor chart (depends on
load indicator & propeller margin), propeller margin for particular
engine is 0.9835 @ 5 %.
So, K = Load Indicator x Propeller margin
Ne= Ships RPM

# MCR % = [Engine Output @ specific RPM/Total engine output]

x100

# SFOC= [Fuel oil consumption for 1 hr x 1000 x Sp Gravity of fuel

oil @engine inlet /Engine power @ running MCR]
