Please keep in mind that I am not a representative of Cisco, and that they are not very happy about me
developing this material (I suspect its because you don’t have to shell out several thousand dollars for their
classes). Anybody willing to help improve any of these documents or submit corrections or
recommendations will receive credit in the foreword of this document and in the book (when it is
published).

The CCNA has gone through at least one major revision by Cisco. Prior to September 1st, 1998 the test had
a lot of mistakes. Prior to this revision the test had almost a 70% fail rate, since then we are have been
getting around a 80% pass rate. Nobody has complained about any major mistakes in this second revision
of the exam.
