Assignment Title: Beowulf Values

Student Writing Goal: My writing goals are to have less grammar mistakes and learning how to use my transition
words the right way, also to try to repeat words less.

2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment is to talk about Beowulf’s values and how he and others in the story
show honor. For us to learn how to use an epic poem and sum it up into an essay.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I performed well for the expectations of this writing assignment. I followed the given rubric, some mistakes I
did was grammar wise. Also, I performed a little bad when citing my quotes.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
Some aspects in this piece that I did well is the layout of my essay and explaining how the main character
showed their honor and other characteristics. Also using interesting details of the story to make my essay
more interesting to the reader.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I chose to revise this writing assignment because I made a couple mistakes when citing my quotes, also I used
a couple run on sentences, and I added a few sentences to make the reader more interested about this epic
poem.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
Yes I will try my best to do better in my next writing assignment by using more transition words and knowing
how to cite correctly, and also making less grammar mistakes so I do not get points taken away.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
A great amount of success was brought into this assignment to get a good grade, I will get better on getting
less grammar mistakes and knowing when to use my transition words better. I achieved most of my goals for
this assignment, I was not satisfied with the way I handled my quotes.
