Tunisian Information In different parts of the world and in different times, Tunisian crochet has been known by many names. You may know it as Afghan cro- chet, tricot crochet, shepherd's knitting, hook knitting or railroad knitting. Whatever its name, Tuni- sian crochet is a type of crochet in which each row is made up of ‘two parts—placing loops on the hook, and working them off. The work is not turned, so one side of work, usually the front, is always facing you.
