Key Club International Convention

INFORMATION SHEET

The 76th Annual Key Club International Convention will be held July 3-7 in Baltimore, Maryland. The
convention will offer outstanding speakers and entertainers. There will also be a variety of forums and
workshops, officer elections, and a service fair. It will be a great week of education, motivation, and fun.

Please DO NOT use the online registration option on the Key Club International webpage if you wish to
participate in the District Tour – please read more below.

The Capital District is proud to offer a District Tour for the convention. The tour provides students the
opportunity to attend the convention as well as enjoy some special one-in-a-lifetime Kiwanis Family
opportunities. The tour is fully chaperoned including organized activities, and meals with the District. If school
and school district regulations allow, the District adult chaperones are able to serve as chaperones for all
students attending the convention and tour.

Travel

Transportation to/from the hotel in Baltimore is the responsibility of the student and his/her family.

The District Tour price includes (for both students & adults):
 Convention Registration Fee
 Hotel Accommodations for 4 nights (Wednesday - Saturday)
 Continental breakfast each morning
 Special District Tour activities
 Snacks from the District Suite
 Daily evening meeting & social time in the District Suite
 District t-shirt & convention souvenirs
 Special advisors’ breakfast included for adults only

Some spending money will be needed. The District Tour provides for most meals during the convention.

District Tour Prices & Deadlines:


$505.00 per person (Quad Occupancy)
$565.00 per person (Triple Occupancy)
$685.00 per person (Double Occupancy)

For adults, the cost is based on two adults of the same gender sharing a room or two related adults (married
or family) sharing a room. Any adult requesting a single room will have a cost increase. Adults are not
permitted to room with students except their own child.

First Installment: $200 trip deposit due, postmarked by Friday, April 26, 2019.

Second Installment: $200 second payment due, postmarked by Wed., May 15, 2019.

Final Installment: Remainder of balance due, postmarked by Friday, May 24, 2019.

Please be sure that the student’s name appears clearly on any check submitted so that he/she is properly
credited for the payment.

A late registration fee of $50 applies after May 15, 2019. No refunds will be given after May 15, 2019.

Students are able to register on their own through keyclub.org to attend International Convention but then they
are not included in any of the above plans and they must find their own chaperones. Key Club International
does not allow any student to attend the convention without a designated chaperone. District souvenirs and
District social opportunities are not provided to those not on the tour. District Administrator Mr. Joe Stankus
must be informed directly of any Key Club members registering through keyclub.org and not attending the
