Time worked will now be logged electronically for payroll purposes using PAWS. Please note the following:
Log in your hours for the day at the end of your scheduled shift during shift wrap-up. Be sure to click “save” after each entry.
Do not log hours in advance. This will minimize confusion and errors. Generally, you will log all of your hours in office. There will only be
a few rare occasions where you will have to log hours from home.
Continue to sign in and out daily so that we can keep a physical log of everyone’s worked hours. Sign in when you walk into the office
and sign out when you walk out of the office. Do not sign in and out simultaneously when you arrive.

3. Select enter hours for the day on which you are working.
You should adhere to the “7 Minute Rule when logging time in PAWS:
If the in or out minute is from :00 to :07, round time to :00 4. Enter
If the in or out minute is from :08 to :22, round time to :15 time in
If the in or out minute is from :23 to :37, round time to :30 the 0:00
If the in or out minute is from :38 to :52, round time to :45 format
If the in or out minute is from :53 to :59, round time to :00
and select
AM or PM.
Hit save.
You must submit your hours for approval before the pay period ends. If you are logging hours at the end of each shift (as you should be),
you must click “submit for approval” on your final day of work before the pay period ends.
Shift wrap-up is five minutes before your shift ends and consists of the following:
o Transfer tallies to call log
o Email Corrections (use template and email labeling system)
o Log hours worked for the day in PAWS
DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK YOUR SUPERVISOR OR SENIOR JAG GUIDES FOR ASSISTANCE.
THERE WILL NOT BE TIME OVER THE WEEKEND TO FIX ERRORS.
