DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY: Jesus connects PEACE and FORGIVENESS in today’s gospel. In our families
we will only experience peace to the extent we forgive one another. Peace is purchased with the
currency of forgiveness. When we allow our anger and pride to lock out others, we also lock out peace
and harmony.

HOME MISSIONS APPEAL: A second collection will be taken today for the Catholic Home Missions
Appeal. Right now, over 40% of diocese in the U.S. are considered mission territory because they are
unable to fund essential pastoral work in their communities. Your support is appreciated.

OUR RELICS: We are most grateful to Deacon Gil for the acquisition of our relics, through the generosity
of Father Richard Morisette, Father Edwin Comeskey, the Franciscan Sisters of Syracuse, and the Pier
Giorgio Frassatti Society. And also to the anonymous donors who made the purchase of the relic case
possible. May the Lord bless them all.

2019-20 FAITH FORMATION REGISTRATION: If you missed our sign-ups on the 8th, you can still
register today. Forms are located on the table in the vestibule. Complete and drop off/mail to the rectory.

RITE OF CANDIDACY: Candidacy is a liturgical rite of admission requested by a seminarian of his

Bishop, which formally acknowledges and enrolls him as a candidate for Sacred Orders. Brendan
Foley, Dennis Walker, and John Leo Oduor will make this step on May 6, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

the priesthood! Highlights from Rite of Candidacy will be available in the Catholic Sun and on social

EASTER BOOKS & CDS: Pick up a copy of a book or CD for your reading/listening pleasure. Books and
CDs are located at each doorway. Feel free to take more than one to share with others you may know
who are seeking to improve their relationship with Jesus Christ.

CHRIST THE KING SHRINE: The Rosary will be prayed at Christ the King Shrine on Flanagan Rd in
Marcy on Tuesday, April 30th at 5:30. This is the 72nd Anniversary of the apparitions of Charles Grestl
on this Holy Ground. Please join us in prayer.

FAMILY RESPECT LIFE OFFICE: Is hosting a Family Rosary Walk at the Good News Center. Join us on
Saturday May 4th at 1:30. We will be walking the outdoor Trail of Peace and there will be ice cream!

COUNTRY PANTRY KIDSPAK PROGRAM: This program runs June-August and provides the youth in our
area who have no school lunch program during the summer a kid-friendly bag of food. This includes
granola bars, cereal, fruit cups, canned soup, noodles, pudding cups, peanut butter, hot dogs,
milk, bologna and fresh fruit, coloring book, word search book or story book. We average 200-250
KidsPaks per month during the summer. We rely and depend on the community to donate many of these
items. So, once again we are reaching out and asking for your help. We need: granola bars, cereal, fruit
cups, pudding cups, and canned soup. God bless you and thank you for your generosity.

AFV “TAKE-OUT ONLY” CHICKEN BBQ: AFV is selling tickets for a drive-thru chicken BBQ, which will
take place in our church parking lot on E. South St., Thursday, May 23rd rain or shine from 4pm-7pm or
until sold-out. Tickets are $10/each and you must have a ticket to purchase a meal. Tickets on sale now
through May 19th.
