1- The Water Head is the difference between the vertical elevations of water surface levels of the
reservoirs.
2- The units of Specific Weight can be (N/m3) or (kg/m2.s2) EX. For water (9810 N/m3 or 9810 kg/m2.s2).
3- Density of Mercury ρ = 13600 kg/m3, so ϒ = 13600 X 9.81 = 133416 N/m3 = 133.4 KN/m3 = 0.491 lbf/ft3.
4- Density of Water ρ = 1000 kg/m3, so ϒ = 1000 X 9.81 = 9810 N/m3 = 9.81 KN/m3 = 62.4 lbf/ft3.
