I am an English Literature major at Arizona State University and I am seeking to fill the
position of Content Editor as found on indeed.com. I believe that my skills in writing,
interpreting, and collaborating would make me a great contributor to Shmoop’s content
team. I am a dedicated learner and would thrive in the creative environment of Shmoop.

During my years as a student I have completed numerous writing assignments that have
exercised and honed my skills in being a fluid and productive writer. I have written
content on everything from the intricacies of Early Modern literature to the multi-sided
debate on gentrification. I have even taken these skills outside of the classroom and
applied them to jobs in tutoring and internships at local publications. During my last year
at Arizona State I worked as a web consultant for a local small business which required
me to research their markets and subsequently tailor their website and social media to
reflect those markets.

What makes me especially fit for this position is my ability to adapt and thrive in a new
environment. I work well in collaborative positions and within teams, especially when the
content is on something I love (which is certainly the case for Shmoop). I am open with
others and I love to communicate which makes applying it to my work crucial.
