2 Statement of the problem

In today’s generation people are always in pursuit of technology, and most of them are
teenagers. Teenagers often use technology for school works, and to communicate with each other. But
most of the time they play games, games such as violent games to be specific. Violent games on
students can affect the behavioural and good conduct on students such as, they can imitate what they
are playing and they can have bad academic behaviour due to playing violent games all the time.
Violent games is the main cause of aggression on students, When they lose they get frustrated, angry,
and sometimes they don’t want to be disturbed when playing.

1.3 Significance of the study

This study is to further know what are the effects of Violent games on students and
what are the positive and negative effects of it to one’s student. And how does it specifically affects
their academic performance and behavioural state and what are the possibilities that they can acquire
negative behaviours or positive behaviours.

Students- This study will help students to gain more knowledge on what to play and what they should
not play. Games such as violent games can affect their state of mind and other factors such as
academic behaviour and such. But sometimes games can be very helpful on certain points, Games can
enhance cognitive ability of students if they play something that is puzzling and other games can offer
to enhance hand and eye coordination and the ability to solve problems easily.

Parents- This study will help parents to guide their child on certain situations. They can monitor their
child if the child is having symptoms of aggression and other negative behaviours. The parent’s
should have knowledge on what games to buy for their child or what is the child playing. The parent’s
should communicate oftenly to monitor and to have knowledge on what their child is playing and
what are they behaving.
