RECRUITMENT and SELECTION


1. How do you plan to start recruitment drive? Is there any strategy or specific time span when you downsize and
hire employees?
When an employ leaves the organization or terminated, or new position generates, recruitment drive process
starts. If employ is terminated or leaves the organization HR knows the requirement but for new opening HOD
sends the requirements to HR department.

2. How do your department makes strategies? Like for recruitment or appraisals and any trainings?
On the day of joining, HR related orientation is given to them. On the day of joining employ needs frequent
training, which is given by the department.

3. Recruitment strategy? Internal or external? Their basis to select with specified positions?
Recruitment is done in 3 steps:
I. Resumes are short listed on the basis of education, diplomas and experience.
II. Telephonic selection is also made.
III. After telephonic interview employ is called for physical/initial interview.

4. Equal employment opportunity for all or there exist diversity? E.g for top management
There exist small level of diversity in which top management references are used as well as external recruitment
is also made…

5. Number of applications received against one job?


It depends on nature of job, for technical jobs which are purely logistics like supply supply chain, for this
number of resumes are less as compared to generic positions such as accounts.

We are using whatsapp , facebook, LinkdIn for job posting. For LinkedIn we have paid account.

During interview we observe the experience relevancy with the nature of job, later confidence, team building
questions are embedded and how much it takes time to adjust in organization culture and how much efforts will
be required to mold him according to the job.

Final interviewer i.e. HOD, Director or CEO makes final decisions.
12. What is your evaluation criteria for resume screening and selection?
For resume screening and selection master degree is compulsory, according to nature of job, experience is
shared on the basis of job.

Three candidates are shortlisted for final interview which is conducted by HOD, Director or CEO depends on the
relevancy of job.

TRAINING
14. Types of training, your organization conducts?
On the job, Practical training is given from 6 weeks to 3 months like internees.

15. How do you analyze employee training needs?


In training analysis training areas are identified, According to this training is planned. Then post training analysis
is conducted to check how much training was successful.
16. Training sources? Online or offline?
Currently we are using on the job training, First we give off the job training and hires trainer.
17. Budget allocated for training?
18. Do you save the training outcomes?
Yes, training outcomes are saved to analyze the effectiveness of training type.
19. Percentage of favorable results of training?

21. Who designs job description and job specifications?
Recruitment department performs the job description and job specification.

HR department has three 3 section:-
I. Recruitment
II. Compensation and benefits
III. Operations

Each section is controlled by assistant manager and senior manager controls all sections.

24. What are the duties of HR and manager’s role in it?

In Lahore office, we have 9 employs while in Karachi there are 3 employs.

27. Do you hire temporary workers? If any then ho often?
Employs hiring is permanent.
28. Are you availing any outsourcing? Employees or services ?
We used the outsourcing services by 24/7 company. Currently we are not using their services,LinkedIn is also
outsource vendor as we have a paid account.

Weekly orientation is conducted in which company overview and processes are explained. While, department
orientation is done on the joining date.

33. Work strategies? Team wise, Project wise?


Project wise work is completed in groups.

34. Work Schedules? Compressed or flexible?


Currently we are using compressed work schedule i.e., 9-5. In few tasks, work is done by shifts.
35. General duties and responsibilities of staff?
