Sign Language Interpreting Program

33 Gilmer St. SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

To Whom it May Concern,

As the Lead Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Department at Kennesaw Mountain High School, it is an
honor and a pleasure for me to write a letter of support for Mrs. Tiffany Greenlee as she completes her
interpreting degree and continues her work with the Deaf community.
Before teaching high school, I spent several years in this same position at Pine Mountain Middle School, which
is where I met Mrs. Greenlee as an interpreter for our students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I was
impressed by her professionalism, depth of knowledge, and warm, friendly demeanor. She was a wonderful
advocate for our students and always worked diligently to ensure that our Deaf middle schoolers were able to
participate in the same activities as their hearing peers. In addition to her duties as interpreter during the regular
school day, she also worked with me to establish the ASL club and Sign Choir, which enabled hearing students
to learn to sign and afforded more of our Deaf students’ opportunities for leadership roles in the school. Not only
that, but she also worked furiously each year with the school’s musical to ensure that the characters in our annual
plays had signing shadows. Mrs. Greenlee’s commitment to interpreting has continued to grow with her transition
to high school. I was thrilled to learn that she was going to again be a member of my school’s Deaf and Hard of
Hearing department because of all the work she has done in the past and the awesome things I know that she
will continue to do. Her passion for interpreting is further exemplified by the countless hours she spends
volunteering in her church’s Deaf ministry. As a graduate of Georgia State University, I am sure that Mrs.
Greenlee will continue to be an asset to the Deaf community in the Atlanta metropolitan area and beyond.

Yours Truly,
Wendy Ross, Ed. S.
