Reflective Practice: to reflect on your actions to continually learn

Professional: related to a certain profession

Teacher: an educator, role model, and caregiver

Mentor: someone to learn from

Parent: gifted you with life, role models, caregivers, trustee

Family: support system

Reflection: to look back on something and analyze it to grow from the experience

Accountable: to be dependable

Artifact: something of great importance that deals with historical interest

Baseline data: set of information most often used to compare other data gathered

afterwards

Behavior Management: guiding people to change their actions to appropriate ones

Classroom Demographics: how much diversity is in the classroom, gender,

ethnicity, etc.

Classroom Management: how you run your classroom

Critical Thinking: analysis and evaluation in decision making

Diversity: mix of different gender, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, etc

Evidence: facts of information to prove something

Feedback: receiving advice/ pointers after something to hear someone’s opinion on it

Prior Knowledge: knowledge you had before the experience

Teacher Candidate: a person who is preparing to teach before you receive your

teaching license
