 What are the 5–10 most useful takeaways you have learned in this course?

This has been a great experience learning with and from all of you. This class has
taught me so much very useful information that enlightened and enhanced some of my
previous knowledge as well as taught me new concepts and ways of thinking and analyzing
various lessons. Some of the most useful lessons for me were time value of money, business
combinations, the different avenues that can be taken to secure loans and funding, identifying
risks with utilizing tools such as decision trees or the Monte Carlo simulation, and last but not
least the economic lessons of economic value creation and cost elasticity. These are very
useful concepts and can be analyzed from many different perspectives from either being a
producer or consumer.

 How will you apply what you have learned in this course to the Marketing and Strategy
Business Plan that you’ve been developing throughout your MBA studies?

The time value of money concept will be very relevant in developing my Marketing
and Strategy Business Plan. This has been a concept that I have had exposure and previous
experience with, but sometimes it gets lost in translation of how imperative it is especially
when other currencies are relevant in a business plan. Sometimes as humans, we desire
immediate gratification, however, the investment depending on the timing does not always
make sense as the best decision at that moment.

 How might you apply what you learned in this course to your future professional work?

In my professional work, I have always weighed the pros and cons and while risk is
assessed I will begin to incorporate concepts such as decision trees and the Monte Carlo
simulation to navigate further potential risk factors in order to mitigate them or choose
another path. I will also further think about concepts such as price elasticity and economic
value creation when consulting with my clients regarding business decisions about pricing.

Happy Holidays and Best of Luck to you All in your Future Endeavors!!
