Throughout this course, there are several useful items that I have learned.

One major important item I had learned was how to fully plan for an
international expansion, this course taught me that there are multiple factors
that need to be considered when planning for such an investment. Another
major item I learned in this course was how past legal issues can impact
current business plans such as an international expansion, my company of
research had a past legal issue and it could potentially impact plans for the
proposed expansion. I also learned how to fully compare companies in the
same industry through ratio analysis, which helps determine which companies
are high in debt or very profitable in their industries. I also learned how
international issues can impact a company's plans for business, my foreign
city of research had a strong crime rate despite its strong technological
backdrop and that needed to be considered in plans. I also learned the
different types of business combinations and how each would be effective in
respective international situations.

As I prepare for my Marketing and Strategy Business Plan, there are items
from this course that I plan to carry over. For my particular project, I have
discussed potentially teaming up with other companies on projects. I might
elaborate further and suggest a business combination that would be effective
for both companies. I also will have a stronger plan for the company to work
on its international issues to progress their business further. In light of a big
up and coming company opening in my industry of research, I plan to do a
ratio analysis on all companies in the industry to see how prepared my
company will be for this new company.

As I hope to open my own editing business in the future, one important item I
had learned was to properly develop a financial statement. I would need to
consider the expenses of the equipment I use as well as the money gained
from my services. I also learned of the risks that could occur if I took my
business internationally, so I would need to evaluate where I could do
international business. This has been a great semester learning with all of
you. I have gained a lot of new knowledge and I hope to cross paths with all
of you in the near future.
