Rese Harris

Leaving the nest was the best decision Kylie Farley made when it came to her future. The

strong-willed 23-year left her triplet siblings and family behind in Tampa, Florida to go to

college in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Farley studies Public Relations at Kennesaw State University with plans of graduating this

December. She keeps herself busy in the community by working as a preschool teacher for two-

year-olds and helping freshmen girls get through the beginning stages of college at her church,

Woodstock City Church. She says when she lost her grandfather, it helped give her a sense of

direction in life and she began going to church consistently. She also works alongside an event

planner and is getting some great career experience.

Farley says she enjoys her life in Kennesaw because it makes her feel independent as she has

created her own life here. She was recently inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society of KSU,

which means she was in the top seven percent of juniors at her school academically.

Farley enjoys hanging out with the friends she’s met while living in Kennesaw. She enjoys

cooking family recipes for them. She enjoys traveling but doesn’t get to as often as she’d like

because of school; and although she is from Florida, she hates the beach. The mountains and

snow are more her speed.

After graduation in December, Farley plans to move back to Tampa to be with her family with

hopes of joining her father in the police force. She hopes to work in the civilian unit but says she

is also willing to working Public Relations for athletics as well, because she loves sports.
Farley has many life goals and welcomes change for her future. She says she wants to be a mom

and have lots of children one day. She says her goals are to be financially independent with a

good career. She gets her ideologies from her father who has always been her role model because

he is a hard-working man who is willing to do whatever needs to be done to provide for his

family.

Farley’s favorite quote is “Don’t let your happiness depend on something you may lose.” This

quote inspires her because she says we should always be happy, no matter how much or how

little we have in life.
