To whom it may concern:

I am writing this regarding your job opening for the Software Engineering Intern position. I
graduated from San Luis High School as a junior and I am in seek for a job at ASU I will be
a sophomore this Fall 2018 to study at the Tempe Campus for a Bachelor of Science in
Robotics Engineering. I am a girl with leadership skills and has had the opportunity to develop
them by being in National Honor Society during high school. I believe I have the ability to help
other students in need and guide them towards success. I am sure my experience as a first
generation student will be very helpful for others who are in the same shoes as I was my
freshman year. During this past summer I had the opportunity of getting an Internship with the
City of San Luis with the IT Department where I learned new qualities I never knew I had.

My experience of work hasn’t really been working but has been more of volunteer service.
During my time off, I help a business, smartclub, by being their secretary and helping customers
and answering telephone calls. This volunteer work has helped me gain confidence, improve my
leadership skills as a young woman, and gain organizational skills. I also have a knowledge of
cellphones and your products for about three years now, since I have had the opportunity to fix
phones, opened phones and experience apple management. I also worked at Denny’s over the
summer as a host, developing my public speaking and customer service skills. During my high
school I was part of the cheer committee by being a leader and guiding incoming students
towards success in a team. On my freshman year, one of the clubs I was very involved was with
Sparks, I’d go to many panels to talk about my story. During my sophomore year, I started
working with the University Housing Technology Center, and this job has helped me develop
more hands on deck experience while at the same time more customer service tips.

I am looking forward to discussing this position and my qualification with you more in depth
soon. I feel confident that I am a perfect candidate for this job and I fulfill all the requirements for
