Dear Resident

We are asking for your vote on 2nd May. As your local councillors, all four of us have been
involved in many projects which will come to fruition over the next couple of years and with
your support we want to see these things through.

 The regeneration of our Town: the upgrading of the High Street and the Centre,
further work on Dolphin Square, the completion of the Town Square.
 Junction 21 enterprise area: New business premises creating new jobs and retaining
existing ones, further road improvements and, through working with agencies, the
building of more affordable and social housing.
 Our tourism industry continues an upward trend through the promotion of the area
through Weston Town Council; we now have 85 business and organisations as
members of Visit Weston, many of these employing young people and some taking on
apprentices.
We will not forget the day to day things we need to improve. Your local councils are putting
more money into early learning and school transport, more investment into keeping our
streets clean, reducing parking charges and reviewing parking restrictions.
We understand that there is a lot of frustration with national politicians at the moment, but
these are local elections, on local issues, with local candidates. We believe that our record is
strong, but voter apathy because of national politics could put our progress and vision at risk.
Over the next few years the policies that your local Conservatives have in place will see the
economies of Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset grow, and we need your continued
support to achieve this.
