Career Essay

For my future I want to become a nursing assistant. On Naviance it says,

“Hospitality.” And I do feel like these words suit me, I am friendly, and I do care about

other people. Now let’s see the stuff that comes with nursing.

For nurses it says, that it pays $27,510 per year, and $13.23 per hour. Bureau of

Labor Statistics say, “Help provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of

long-term care facilities.” Yes, this might enough to support the lifestyle that I selected

on the Indiana Reality Check Website.The expected growth is 11%, which is faster than

average. For the training it says, “Must complete a state-approved education program in

which they learn the basic principles of nursing and complete supervised clinical work.”

During the day, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says that they work on their feet

providing help to others. They have to work at night,sometimes,weekends, and

holidays. Basically trying to say that they work full time.That’s what usually happens in

their “day.”

Well the same website says that I need a Certified Nursing Assistant,Certified

Medication Assistant, and a basic life support certification. Maybe I could take some

classes that help me interact with others. Yes, I would like to try to do a work program

during high school. I want to be intern, so I could get to see what the job is really like.

About the education it says, “Orderlies typically have at least a high school diploma and

receive a short period of on-the-job training.”

Well after I did my research, I still want to a Nurse Assistant. I always wanted to

be in the medical field. To me it seems easy, but that might not be the case. I mean it
did say I didn’t have to go to college, just need some certificates.I just want to get a job

that I have enough money to spoil my parents.
