Josh Bennett

Interpersonal Interaction
Collaboration –
During FLITE I learned a lot about how to work in groups and with other
individuals. We were assigned groups close to the beginning of the class and we worked with
these people in the groups for the whole semester. I learned how each person has their own
individual style of working in groups and knowing that helped me collaborate with the other
people in my group. I can take this knowledge of collaborating with others into whatever future
career I have, because I will always need to work with others.

Communication
Verbal Communication –
In FLITE I gave multiple speeches and it helped me grow in my verbal
communication. I also grew in my verbal communication by interacting and talking to others in
the class. I also talked to my group members and we used verbal communication to portray ideas
and give opinions on different things throughout the semester. In my future career I will be able
to use what I learned about verbal communication in FLITE from interacting with others in the
class. I will use verbal communication no matter where I am or what job I have.

Civic Responsibility
Inclusion –
In FLITE we had a diverse group of students and we always talked about
including everyone. During the class I learned that one of my strengths is Includer. Going
through the class I learned more about how to use my strength of Includer to include everyone in
everything I do. Using that strength, I try to always make sure everyone is included and has a
part in what we are doing. Specifically, when my FLITE group was working together, I always
made sure that everyone was able to contribute. In a future career I will be able to use this to
include everyone in group projects or presentations or just working together overall.
