Assignment Title: Q1 End of unit Reflection – Social Issue

- Student Writing Goal: My writing goal for this year to stay on top of my essays and not wait till last
minute to turn in work. I will improve on my punctuation, gathering resources and try in stay
consistent.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

- I believe that this assignment was not only a graduation requirement but also to challenge us to
something new and get an idea of what is expected when in college or university.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
- I personally feel like I did an excellent job on my senior paper because I provided what was told and
wrote more then what was asked. I feel like I could have provided more evidence, but I did have
enough to explain my argument.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
- I could say that I did good on transitioning my introduction into my next arguments. I also did
plenty of research to be informed and make it understanding to anyone who doesn’t know what
abortion is.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

- I did choose to revise my essay by adding words as in transition words and punctuation. Other than
that, I didn’t have much to change since I was very clear about what I was talking and had good
examples and details to explain my arguments.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
- In my next writing assignment, I will try to improve on providing more evidence as in my quotes and
try in expand my explanation for each quote. I feel like in this essay I did add good grammar and
punctuation which in my next assignment I will try in keep it up.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
- Throughout this essay, I did achieve some main goals that I’ve been struggling on for the last past
years which are explaining the topic with enough examples and resources.
