Manicure (Cleaning)

PROCEDURE

 Preparation

1. .Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we’re going to use. (REMINDER: Place the metal

implements and orangewood sticks in a jar sanitizer containing cottons saturated with alcohol)
 Sanitation

1 Cover the client’s lap with towel

2 Make sure to sanitize your hands by applying alcohol or hand sanitize

3 Dampen a cotton ball with alcohol and wipe off the dirt on your client’s hands (starting on the palm up

to the back of the hand

4 If applicable, remove any present nail enamel with the use of a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover

for each hand

 File And Cut

1 Starting from the little finger, cut the nails of the client’s right hand according to desired shape

2 .File the nails using an emery board

3 .Place the hand in a manicure bowl filled with warm water and antiseptic liquid soap just to enough to

cover the nails

4 .Cut and file the nails on the left hand while waiting for the soaking to finish

5 Remove the right hand from the manicure bowl and dry with a towel

6 Soak the left hand in a manicure bowl.

 Cleaning

1. Apply the cuticle remover on the nails of the right hand

2. Push back the cuticle using a nail pusher

3. Remove excess cuticles using nippers

4. Brush the nails to clean off the cut cuticles.

 Buffing

1 Buff the nails using the buffer by brushing it on the nails to make it shiny

2 Use the nail brush to remove any dirt on the nails

3 Apply cuticle oil and massage it in each nail using your hand

4 Wipe off the excess oil using a cotton ball

5 Remove the left hand from the manicure ball and dry with the towel

6 Do the same procedure on the left hand

 Hand Massage

1 Pour a small amount of lotion on your hands and apply it onto the client’s hand and forearm using

effleurage.
2 Place the client’s arm in an upright position, palm-facing the client, and apply effleurage to the forearm.

3 Lay down the client’s arm and open the hand up

4 Interlock your fingers with the client’s and apply thumb kneading to the palm surface of the hand

5 Position the hand, back of the hand facing upward, and gently pull the fingers individually

6 Apply thumb kneading to the back of the hand

7 Repeat steps to the other side.

PROCEDURE

 Preparation

1 Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we we’re going to use.

2 Ask the client to wash his/her hands using soap and water

3 Make sure that all dirt on the hand and forearm are removed

4 Dry both hands with towel

5 Sanitize the client’s hands and arms by applying alcohol with cotton ball

6 Apply lotion on the right hand and forearm to remove dead skin cells.

7 Do the same on the left hand and forearm


8 Rinse off the lotion with water

9 Dry the hands using towel.

PROCEDURE

 Preparation

1 Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we we’re going to use.

2 Ask the client to wash his/her hands using soap and water

3 Make sure that all dirt on the hand and forearm are removed

4 Dry both hands with towel

5 Sanitize the client’s hands and arms by applying alcohol with cotton ball

6 Apply hand scrub on the right hand and forearm to remove dead skin cells.

7 Do the same on the left hand and forearm

8 Rinse off the hand scrub with water

9 Dry the hands using towel.

PROCEDURE
 Preparation

1 Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we’re going to use. (REMINDER: Place the metal

implements and orangewood sticks in a jar sanitizer containing cottons saturated with alcohol)

 Sanitation

1 Sanitize your hands by applying alcohol or sanitizer

2 Using a cotton ball soaked in alcohol, sanitize the client’s foot by wiping off the dirt

3 Remove any existing nail enamel on the toes using cotton soaked in nail enamel remover

 File And Cut

1 Cut the nails to the client’s desired shape.

2 Using an emery board, file the toenails to even or smoothen out the sides

3 Soak the foot in a bowl filled with warm water and anti-bacterial soap]\

4 Repeat the steps to the other foot.

 Cleaning

1 Dry the soaked foot with a towel.

2 Apply cuticle remover on each toenail.

3 Push up the cuticle using a pusher or hoof stick

4 Remove excess dead cells and skins around the toenail using a nipper

5 Using a toenail brush, brush off the excess removed cuticles

6 Apply cuticle oil to the individual toenails.

 Foot Massage

1 Pour a small amount of lotion on your hands and apply effleurage to the foot and leg of the client

2 Apply thumb kneading to the soles of the foot

3 Apply pulling to the individual toes on the foot

4 Repeat the same process to the other foot

PROCEDURE

1 Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we’re going to use.

2 Fill the basin with warm water, alcohol and liquid soap.

3 Use a cotton ball soaked in alcohol to sanitize the client’s feet

4 Place and soak the client’s feet in the basin for a couple of minutes
5 Using a brush, scrub the client’s foot to remove dead skin cells

6 Lay the foot on your lap and apply some lotion to remove any remaining dead skin cells

7 Apply effleurage on the foot and calf while applying the scrub

8 Use a foot file to remove any hard skin on the foot

9 Place the foot in a basin filled with warm water

10 Rinse off the lotion using the sponge

11 Use a brush to make sure that all unwanted skin is removed

12 Dry the foot using towel

13 Repeat the same procedure to the other foot

14 Apply lotion and massage the foot and calf

15 Apply effleurage on the calf and thumb kneading to the sole of the foot

16 Apply ironing using your knuckles to the sole of the foot then slapping for two repetitions

PROCEDURE

1 Prepare all the tools, materials, and equipments that we’re going to use
