Grade 10-Our Lady of Lourdes Ms. Jelly F. Ansay CLEANING TOWEL a towel is a piece of absorbent fabric or paper used for drying or wiping the body or a surface. It draws moisture through direct contact, often using a blotting, or a rubbing motion. In households, several types of fabric towels are used, including hand towels, bath towels and kitchen towels. In warm climates people may also use beach towels. Paper towels are provided in commercial or office bathrooms for users to dry their hands. Paper towels are also used in households for a range of wiping, cleaning and drying tasks. RUBBER GLOVES a rubber glove is a glove made out o a rubber. Rubber gloves can be unsupported (rubber only) or supported (rubber coating of textile glove). Its primary purpose is protection of the hands while performing tasks involving chemicals. Rubber gloves can be worn during dishwashing to protect the hands from detergent and allow the use of hotter water. BUCKET a bucket or pail is typically a watertight, vertical cylinder or truncated cone, with an open top and a flat bottom, attached to a semicircular carrying handle called bail. SCOURING PADS a scouring pad or scourer is a small pad of metal or plastic mesh used for scouring a surface. Some scouring pads have one side made of a soft sponge-like materials and the other is the aforementioned mesh. TOILET BOWL CLEANER badly soiled toilets and urinals need special attention. Toilet Bowl Cleaner has the power to quickly remove rust, dissolve organic stains and eliminate hard water residue. HAND BRUSH is a tool with bristles, wire or other filaments, used for cleaning surface finishing and for many other purposes. It is one of the most basic and versatile tools known to mankind, and the average household may contain several dozen varieties. It generally consists of a handle or block to which filaments are affixed either parallel- or perpendicular-wise, depending on the way the brush is to be gripped during use. The material of both the block and bristles or filaments is chosen to withstand hazards of its application, such as corrosive chemicals, heat or abrasion. ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER are usually concentrated solutions or surfactants and water softeners, which enhance the behavior of surfactant in hard water. Typical surfactants are alkybenzenesulfonates, an anionic detergent, and modified fatty alcohols. A typical water softener is sodium triphosphate. WARM WATER has faster moving molecules which bombards the impurity which helps to clean.
