UltraSIL™ Housed VariSTAR®
Station Class Surge Arresters 235-88
GENERAL
Cooper Power Systems has set a new
standard of excellence for polymer-
housed station class surge arresters.
Enhancements in arrester design
allow Cooper to offer increased can-
tilever strength and improved energy
handling capability. The UltraSIL™
Housed VariSTAR® Type US, UH,
and UX Station Arresters incorporate
the industry recognized superior sili-
cone rubber housing.
Cooper Power Systems Type US
Arresters have passed all IEEE
Standard C62.11™ test requirements
for station class arresters and have
energy handling capability designed
for most applications. UH and UX
arresters also meet all test requirements
for station class arresters but have
higher energy handling capability for
those applications which require it.
