q2 Mid-Unit Reflection Beowulf Values
Student Writing Goal: My goal is to stop turning assignments late in this English class because I get low grades and my
grade is failing. I will stop procrastinating in this class to pass all my essays with good communication and sticking to
the prompt.
Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.
How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I followed the rubric but I did not read it through because I missed a lot of things. The rubric is what I have to
focus on when writing another essay. The rubric could help me try harder to make my essay an A not a B due
to misspelled words and capitalizing.
What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I made my essay an attention getter and clear voice. My essay was enjoyable to read because I made it
extreme by explaining Beowulf and what having honor. Beowulf was a fun essay to write in explain the
quotes and who Beowulf is.
What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next assignment I will capitalize my titles and make them more specific to my essay. Check my
spelling is another thing I need to fix to improve my writing. Fix my MLA format for every essays because
that is what is used for every essay.
To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
With this essay I think I achieve half way to my goal although I would like to use it for future essays. As for
this essay I did great minus the work cited page which I forgot to add in my essay. I will try harder on my
essay I can see that I do not capitalize my title nor have a good thesis statement which is what I need to work
on.
